Fruity red cabbage recipe details
Ingredients
1 | red cabbage, shredded |
1 | apple, grated |
1 | lemon, juice only |
100 g | butter |
200 ml | balsamic vinegar |
4 tbsp | sugar |
cinnamon, to taste | |
salt, to taste |
Instructions
Combine the cabbage with vinegar and set aside.Heat butter in a pot over medium heat and add sugar. Let caramelize, then add the cabbage and stir well. Add apple and lemon juice.
Pour over water until just covered and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat for about 2 hours.
Season to taste with cinnamon and salt.
