Ingredients
100 g | flour |
70 g | confectioner’s sugar |
grated rind of 1 orange | |
3 medium | eggs, yolks only |
500 ml | fruit jam |
120 g | butter |
1 tbsp | honey |
1 tbsp | granulated sugar |
Instructions
Combine the flour, sugar and the grated orange rind in a bowl and mix well.Knead in the softened butter, the honey and 2 egg yolks. Knead only long enough to mix the ingredients thoroughly.
Use 2/3 of the pastry to line a greased, sugar dusted tart pan. Spread the jam over the pastry.
Brush the remaining dough with a beaten egg yolk and use make strips. Lay the strips over the tart in a criss-cross pattern.
Preheat oven to 170°C.
Bake for about 35 minutes.
