Frozen custard recipe details
Ingredients
900 ml | milk |
250 g | sugar |
4 medium | eggs |
50 g | cornstarch |
1 ¼ tsp | salt |
350 ml | condensed milk, sweetened |
4 tbsp | vanilla extract |
Instructions
In a large saucepan, bring the milk to a boil.Beat eggs and gradually add sugar, cornstarch and salt. Mix well. Gradually add a small amount of hot milk and then return all to the saucepan.
Cook and stir constantly until mixture thickens. Gradually stir in condensed milk and vanilla; mix well. Chill for 3-4 hours in the fridge.
Pour into a container and freeze overnight.
