Fried green tomatoes recipe details
Ingredients
4 medium | green tomatoes, sliced |
1 tsp | salt |
⅛ tsp | pepper or lemon pepper |
125 g | cornmeal |
2 tbsp | flour |
100 ml | vegetable oil, for frying |
Instructions
Sprinkle tomatoes with salt and pepper, set aside for 10 minutes.Mix cornmeal with flour.
Take tomato slices, let the juice drip off and coat them with the flour mix.
Heat the oil over medium heat, fry tomatoes for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Dab off excess oil with a paper towel and serve.
