Fried fish with creamy cucumbers recipe details
Ingredients
1 ½ | cucumbers |
150 g | crème fraîche |
1 tsp | mustard |
2 tbsp | fresh dill, chopped |
salt and pepper | |
80 g | flour |
20 g | corn starch |
1 | egg |
125 ml | milk |
1 tbsp | sunflower oil |
600 g | fish fillet, e.g. coalfish, tilapia |
Instructions
Wash, then cut the cucumbers in fine slices. Mix together the crème fraîche, mustard and dill. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in the cucumbers and let steep for a while.Combine the flour with 1 teaspoon of salt, add in the egg, the milk and the corn starch. Mix well. Leave to stand for a while.
Rinse the fish fillets with cold water, pat dry and cut in slices. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or a fryer (about 180°C.)
If the batter is too thick, add some water. Turn the fillets in the batter and bake in the hot oil until golden brown. Remove from the oil and place on a kitchen paper.
Serve the fried fish with the creamy cucumbers and potatoes.
