Ingredients

1 ½  cucumbers
150 g crème fraîche
1 tsp mustard
2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
salt and pepper
80 g flour
20 g corn starch
1  egg
125 ml milk
1 tbsp sunflower oil
600 g fish fillet, e.g. coalfish, tilapia

Instructions

Wash, then cut the cucumbers in fine slices. Mix together the crème fraîche, mustard and dill. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in the cucumbers and let steep for a while.

Combine the flour with 1 teaspoon of salt, add in the egg, the milk and the corn starch. Mix well. Leave to stand for a while.

Rinse the fish fillets with cold water, pat dry and cut in slices. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or a fryer (about 180°C.)

If the batter is too thick, add some water. Turn the fillets in the batter and bake in the hot oil until golden brown. Remove from the oil and place on a kitchen paper.

Serve the fried fish with the creamy cucumbers and potatoes.
