Fried buffalo shrimp recipe details
This is an easy dish for ballgames or to take to parties. I like to make sure additional sauce covers the shrimp when served. If taking to get together, just leave the shrimp in the sauce mix and make sure it stays warm. Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing for the full effect.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- oil for frying
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup Texas Pete(R) hot sauce (or your favorite)
- 1 pound peeled and deveined medium shrimp
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cornstarch
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 2 mins | Extra time: 10 mins, other1. Heat the oil to 375 degrees F.
2. While the oil is warming up, melt the butter and hot sauce together in a saucepan, and bring to a simmer. Stir until evenly blended, then keep warm over low heat.
3. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste, then toss in a bowl with the cornstarch.
4. Remove the shrimp from the cornstarch and shake off the excess. Fry in the hot oil until no longer translucent in the center, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove and drain on a paper towel lined plate.
5. Toss the shrimp with the hot sauce to serve.
