Ingredients
5 cups of peeled and sliced peaches
1 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
dash salt
Batter:
1/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:

This is a very nice dessert for guests on a milk-free diet. Try to get tree-ripened peaches!

Stir peaches, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt together gently. Put in a 9 x 13-inch pan that has been greased with margarine. Cover with batter.

Batter: Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, water, vanilla, and orange extract alternately with flour, baking powder, salt.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
