Fish in lemon jelly recipe details
Ingredients
8 slice(s) | fish |
2 tsp | vinegar |
1 | bay leaf |
2 medium | onions |
2 | peppercorns |
½ packet(s) | lemon jelly |
3 tbsp | sugar |
salt | |
water |
Instructions
Wash and salt fish and allow to stand for a few hours.Place fish in boiling water to cover and add one whole onion, vinegar and sugar. Simmer for 30 minutes until done. Add bay leaf, peppercorns and jelly and cook 5 more minutes.
Place fish in a dish with a slice of onion on each piece. Strain liquid and pour over. Allow to cool and then let set in the refrigerator.
