Fish chowder recipe details
Ingredients1. Haddock or cod fillets, fresh or frozen (1 1/2pounds)
2. salt (1/2tsp)
3. sweet paprika (1/4tsp)
4. diced carrots (3/4c)
5. butter (2tbsp)
6. finely chopped onion (1small)
7. diced peeled potatoes (1 1/2c)
8. dash ground black pepper
9. chicken broth (1c)
10. milk (2c)
11. flour (2tbsp)
Method of preparation
1. Take fish fillets, cut them into small pieces and then put them in large saucepan or kettle with chicken broth. Add potatoes, carrots and seasoning.
2. Cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes or until the vegetables get tender. Take medium size saucepan, heat butter in it and then saute onions in the pan until get tender. Mix the flour in it until get well blended.
3. Gradually add milk and stir it constantly. Keep on stirring until it gets thickened. Add the cooked vegetable and fish, cook it for about 5 to 10 minutes by stirring it frequently. When it gets ready then serve it.
