Fancy Strawberry Dessert recipe
|300 g||fresh or thawed strawberries, chopped|
|100 g||strawberry ice cream|
|60 ml||double cream or whipping cream|
|1 tsp||powdered sugar|
|lemon juice of 1 lemon|
|chocolate syrup for garnishing champagne glasses|
In a food processor or blender blend strawberries, ice cream, 1 tablespoon cream and lemon juice until smooth. Transfer to a container with a pouring spout. Chill in refrigerator.
Put chocolate syrup in a small deep flat bowl and dip glass rims in chocolate until syrup runs down sides of glass. Cover the outside of the glasses with foil or paper that can be peeled off easily. This way the outer glass rims do not get covered in chocolate.
Whip the remaining heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff.
Pour strawberry soup in chocolate rimmed champagne glasses and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream.
