Ingredients
For the Crust: | |
350 g | flour |
230 g | butter |
80 g | caster sugar |
1 medium | egg, beaten |
For the Filling: | |
3 medium | eggs |
80 g | caster sugar |
70 ml | milk |
240 ml | water |
Instructions
Preheat oven at 180°C.In a bowl combine butter, sugar and egg. Beat until creamy. Add flour and mix into a dough. Cover dough with cling film and keep in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Cut small 20g pieces out of the dough. Press into egg tart moulds and set aside.
In a separate bowl whisk eggs and sugar until creamy. Add milk and water and continue to whisk until combined. Pour into tart moulds and bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is slightly brown and egg custard is set.
Remove from oven and leave to cool slightly before serving.
