I wanted to make a truly Southern meatloaf like my ‘Redneck’ buddies make sometimes when I visit. They never wrote the recipe down. This is my best approximation of Southern meatloaf. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. You can serve this Southern meatloaf either hot or cold.

Ingredients
Serves: 8- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 pound fresh ground pork
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
Preparation method
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 40 mins1. Place a medium sized baking pan into a cool oven and preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Place milk into large mixing bowl and add the Worcestershire sauce. Stir until completely mixed. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well.
3. Shape mixture into a loaf and place in heated baking pan. Cook your meatloaf for until an internal temperature of 170 degrees F has been reached, approximately 40 minutes.
