Ingredients
Serves: 8- For Dough:
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 ounces pear baby food
- 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1/2 tablespoon nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 teaspoon bread machine yeast
- For Filling:
- 1/2 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 cup brown sugar, packed
- For Icing:
- 1/2 teaspoon milk
- 1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 25 mins | Extra time: 1 hour 25 mins, rising1. Combine all dough ingredients in bread machine and process in dough/manual cycle, about 45 minutes.
2. Place dough on lightly floured surface and knead in flour to make dough easy to handle. Shape into 14×10-inch piece using a rolling pin.
3. Spread honey over dough rectangle. Sprinkle with brown sugar, raisins, and cinnamon.
4. Roll up dough tightly and pinch to seal. Slice into 8 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9-inch round cake pan. Cover, let rise for 40 minutes.
5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
6. Bake rolls for 25 minutes, or until done. Remove from pan and allow to cool.
7. While rolls are cooling, make the icing by combining powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Stir until smooth. Then brush onto the cooled rolls.
