Easy easter pavlova recipe details
Ingredients
4 medium | eggs, whites only |
160 g | sugar |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
1 tsp | fresh lemon juice |
2 tsp | cornstarch |
450 ml | whipping cream |
6 | kiwi, peeled, sliced, or strawberries, washed, hulled, sliced |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 150°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and draw a 22 cm circle on the parchment paper.Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add in the sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat until thick. Gently fold in vanilla extract, lemon juice and cornstarch.
Spoon mixture inside the circle drawn on the parchment paper. Working from the center, spread mixture toward the outside edge, building edge slightly.
Place in the oven and bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and cook on wire rack.
Remove the paper and place meringue on a flat serving plate. Whip cream and fill the center of the meringue with the cream. Top whipped cream with kiwifruit slices.
