Danish plum compote recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | plums, cleaned and pitted |
250 ml | apple juice |
500 ml | water |
lemon juice | |
grated lemon peel | |
1 stick(s) | cinnamon |
1 | clove |
sugar | |
50 g | cornstarch |
400 ml | whipped cream |
Instructions
Heat the apple juice with water, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, ½ teaspoon lemon peel, cinnamon stick and clove. Add the plums and cook until the plums are soft and falling apart. Sweeten to taste with sugar and if necessary, add lemon juice to taste.Remove the cinnamon stick and the clove (if you find it).
Fill into dessert bowls and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Serve with whipped cream.
