Creamy Tomato Turkey Chili

A huge pot of chili with plenty of tomatoes, cheese and spice. Given a healthy twist with ground turkey as the starring meat. Inspired by tater’s “My Girls’ Chili.”

Ingredients
Serves: 8- 3 pounds ground turkey
- 46 ounces tomato juice
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 (10.74 ounce) can tomato soup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 medium onions (diced)
- 2 medium bell peppers (diced)
- 2 cups grated cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Brown ground turkey in a large pot over medium heat. Should take about 15 minutes. Remove turkey from pot and drain off fat/liquid. Put cooked turkey back in pot.
2. Add all other ingredients and bring to boil. Turn heat to low and simmer with pot partially covered, for about 40 minutes. Stir occasionally.
