Creamy toffee recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | brown sugar |
6 tbsp | milk |
1 tbsp | golden syrup |
50 g | butter |
250 ml | condensed milk |
Instructions
Combine sugar and milk in a heavy saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves. Add the syrup and butter and bring to the boil. Cook for 2-3 minutes and then stir in the condensed milk.Continue to boil until mixture thickens. Remove from the heat and leave to cool slightly. Beat until thick and creamy and pour into a buttered shallow dish.
Leave to set, then cut into the squares.
