Creamy lemon sauce recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | sugar |
120 ml | lemon juice |
2 tsp | grated lemon rind |
3 medium | eggs |
240 ml | whipping cream |
Instructions
In a double boiler combine sugar, lemon juice and lemon peel. Place over direct heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.Beat eggs until blended; stir egg mixture in the hot sugar mixture, then return to top of double boiler. Cook and keep stirring until thickened. Remove from heat and chill.
Whip cream until stiff and combine with chilled lemon custard. Cover and chill until serving time.
