Creamed onions recipe details
Ingredients
20 medium | onions, peeled |
80 ml | vegetable oil |
3 tbsp | flour |
300 ml | milk or single cream |
120 g | Cheddar cheese, grated |
Instructions
Peel onions and cook in a pot of boiling salted water. When tender, drain and set aside.In the same pan, stir together oil and flour. Stir in milk and cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly.
Add the cheese and stir until melted.
Chop or mash onions, add to the cream sauce and heat through.
