Cream cake with sour cherry recipe details
Ingredients
For Cake Ingredients
1. Flour (1 1/2c)
2. granulated sugar (1c)
3. eggs (2)
4. vanilla (1pack)
5. cocoa (2tbsp)
6. yogurt (2tbsp)
7. vegetable oil (7tbsp)
8. baking powder (1tsp)
For Cream Ingredients
1. Chocolate chips or grated chocolate (1/3c)
2. cocoa (1tbsp)
3. sour cherries, seeds removed (1c)
4. chocolate-hazelnut paste (5tbsp)
5. milk (1/2c)
6. icing sugar (1/2pack)
7. grated feta cheese (3 matchboxes sized)
Method of preparation
1. Take a deep bowl, add granulated sugar and eggs in it and blend it until the sugar gets dissolved. Then add vegetable oil and yogurt in it and mix it. Add sieved flour, baking powder, cocoa and vanilla in it and mix it until the mixture becomes smooth.
2. Take a mould of 8 inches, grease and flour it a little and then pour the mixture into it. Heat the oven to 365 degrees F for a while and then place the mould in it. Bake it for about 40 to 45 minutes at 365 degrees F.
3. Then take out the cake from oven and keep it to cool. Meanwhile mix sugar with cold milk and then add grated cheese in it. Place the feta cheese in water to remove its extra salt one night before using it.
4. Then add grated chocolate or chocolate chips, chocolate –hazelnuts paste into the mixture and mix it well. Now take out the cake from the mould and cut it into 2 pieces.
5. Place the first layer of the cake on the working surface and then make a mixture of 1 tablespoon of sugar in 1 cup of water. Pour half of this mixture all over the layer of cake.
6. Spread more than half of the prepared cream all over the cake and arrange the sour cherries on it. Then place the other layer of the cake on the cherries and pour the rest of the syrup all over the second layer.
7. Spread the cream all over the cake and then decorate it with chocolate and sour cherries. Place the cake in the refrigerator for overnight and then cut it into slices and serve them.
