Corned beef sandwiches recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | corned beef brisket |
240 ml | water |
60 ml | Dijon mustard |
orange zest, grated | |
80 ml | orange juice |
4 tsp | flour |
200 g | Cheddar cheese. sliced |
8 | bread rolls |
Instructions
Place brisket in a slow cooker. Combine water and mustard and pour over brisket. Cover and cook over low heat for 8-10 hours.Remove meat and keep warm. Reserve juices and discard whole spices.
In a small saucepan, stir together orange peel, orange juice, and flour. Stir in 60 ml of the reserved cooking juices. Cook and stir until thickened.
Slice meat very thinly. Arrange rolls, place sliced meat on on half, drizzle about 1 tablespoon of cooking juices over meat. Top with cheese. Broil 1-2 minutes until cheese melts. Add roll top and serve.
