Cooked christmas breakfast recipe details
Ingredients
40 slice(s) | bread |
2 ½ kg | Cheddar cheese, grated |
2 ½ kg | sausage, cooked |
50 medium | eggs, beaten |
2.3 l | double cream |
some | milk |
2 ½ tsp | salt |
Instructions
Cover the bottom of a large baking pan with bread slices. Spread cooked and well drained sausages evenly on bread. Sprinkle cheese on top.Beat the eggs, add some milk, salt, and cream. Pour the mixture over the bread, meat and cheese, cover, and let sit for 2 hours in the fridge.
Preheat oven to 180°C. Remove cover and bake for about 1 hour.
Tip:Prepare the night before and let refrigerate overnight.
