- Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup almonds, sliced
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup candied cherries
Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Cream together until fluffy. Add egg yolk and mix well. Add flour, a small amount at a time. Add vanilla, cherries, and almonds. Roll into 2-inch logs. Refrigerate until firm or overnight. Slice thinly. Bake on greased sheet at 375 degrees for 4 to 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
