Chocolate and Peanut Butter Towers recipe

Ingredients
200 g | soft butter |
400 g | chocolate |
150 g | flour |
450 g | brown sugar |
100 g | ground almonds |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
100 g | cocoa powder |
3 tsp | baking powder |
1 pack(s) | vanilla sugar |
6 | eggs |
200 g | crème fraîche |
300 g | peanuts |
600 g | cream cheese |
350 g | peanut butter |
50 g | sugar |
Instructions
Melt the butter together with 150g of the chocolate. Chop the remaining chocolate. Mix together the flour, brown sugar, almonds, salt, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla sugar. Whisk the eggs until creamy.
Preheat the oven to 150°C. Mix the butter and chocolate mixture with the eggs. Stir in the flour mixture, crème fraîche and 75g of the chopped chocolate. Pour the batter into a deep buttered rectangular baking tray. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Chop and roast the peanuts. Mix the cream cheese with peanut butter and sugar. Stir in 250g of the nuts. Horizontally half the cake base. Spread the lower side with the cheese mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining nuts and 75g of chopped chocolate. Cover with the upper cake and cool for 2 hours.
Melt the remaining chocolate. Cut the cake into 28 pieces and garnish with the melted chocolate.
