Chicken Tikka recipe
Ingredients
4 | chicken breast fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces |
½ tsp | salt |
2 clove(s) | garlic, crushed |
½ tsp | garam masala powder |
½ tsp | freshly grated nutmeg |
½ tsp | hot chili powder |
½ tsp | turmeric powder |
150 g | yoghurt |
3 tbsp | oil |
3 sprig(s) | coriander leaves, chopped |
1 tbsp | lemon juice |
Instructions
In a bowl combine the chicken pieces with lemon juice and salt and toss. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
In a blender combine the remaining ingredients and process until smooth. Add to the chicken and marinate in the fridge overnight.
Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers and grill on low-medium heat for 15-20 minutes until golden browned all around and cooked through. Brush with the marinade occasionally.
Serve with rice or flat bread.
