Chicken liver and apple salad recipe details
Ingredients
150 g | lettuce |
1 | red onion, chopped |
450 g | apples, peeled, cored and sliced |
4 tbsp | apple vinegar |
salt and pepper | |
sugar | |
1 tsp | mustard |
8 tbsp | oil |
½ tsp | rosemary |
½ tsp | marjoram |
50 g | walnuts, chopped |
500 g | chicken liver |
2 tbsp | flour |
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the lettuce leaves, apples and onions.In a separate bowl, mix together vinegar, mustard, 6 tablespoons of oil, rosemary and marjoram. Season with salt, sugar and pepper. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix thoroughly. Sprinkle with walnuts.
In a saucepan, heat the remaining oil. Dust the liver with flour and sauté in the oil for 4-6 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Arrange the liver on top of the salad and serve immediately.
