Chestnut stuffing recipe details
Ingredients
900 g | chestnuts |
285 ml | vegetable stock |
25 g | butter |
1 pinch(es) | sugar |
salt and freshly ground black pepper |
Instructions
With a sharp knife cut an X on the round side of each chestnut. Place the chestnuts in one layer on a lined baking tray. Roast in the preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes. Remove the chestnuts, a handful at a time, and shell and peel them while they are still hot.In a saucepan, combine the chestnuts and the stock and bring to a boil. Simmer until the chestnuts are soft. Pass through a sieve into a bowl. Stir in the butter and season to taste with salt and pepper.
