Chestnut omelet recipe details
- Ingredients
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup light cream
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups boiled and chopped chestnuts

Beat egg yolks and add salt, sugar, and cream. Stir in flour until smooth. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites to which the baking powder has been added. Add chestnuts and turn onto a hot buttered skillet. Cook until lightly browned on the bottom. Place in a 350-degree oven until top is dry to the touch.
