- Ingredients
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 cup grated carrots
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 quarts water
- 2 ounces chicken base
- One 12.5-ounce can chicken stock
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup butter, melted
- One 12-ounce can evaporated milk
- 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
- White pepper to taste
Add water and vegetables in pot; cook until tender.
Add chicken stock and base; cook for 30 minutes.
Mix flour and melted butter; add to vegetables.
Add milk, cheese, and pepper; cook until cheese is melted.
