Cauliflower and broccoli casserole recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | cauliflower |
500 g | broccoli |
8 | eggs |
salt and pepper | |
200 g | single cream |
15 g | cornflour |
2 tbsp | Worcester sauce |
30 g | almond flakes |
125 g | Parma ham, thinly sliced |
some | butter |
Instructions
Cook the cauliflower in salted water for 5 minutes. Add the broccoli and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Drain.Beat the eggs into a bowl and whisk in the cream and the cornflour. Season with salt, pepper and Worcester sauce.
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
Arrange the cauliflower and the broccoli in a buttered casserole dish. Pour over the egg mixture and bake for 20-30 minutes or until set.
In a dry pan roast the almond flakes. Allow to cool. Sprinkle the casserole with the roasted almond flakes. Serve garnished with Parma ham.
