Catfish with ginger and sour cream recipe details
Ingredients1. 400 gm catfish
2. 2 tbsp butter
3. 2 tbsp virgin olive oil
4. 1 inch thick, 2 inch length fresh ginger root
5. 2 medium onions
6. 2 tbsp cilantro
7. 1 cup sour cream
8. 2 tsp capers
9. 1 tbsp white wine
10. Salt (to taste)
11. Pepper (to taste)
Method of preparation
1. Clean the catfish and cut two fillets out of it. Mince the onions, ginger and cilantro.
2. Take a saucepan and heat butter and olive oil in it. To this add the onions, ginger, cilantro, and capers and cook these for a minute or two on a medium flame.
3. Cook the steaks on a preheated and oiled outside grill for about two minutes on both sides. Transfer these to the pan. Pour white wine over all the ingredients in the pan.
4. Place the pan in a preheated oven to about 350 degrees F for about six minutes. Transfer the cooked fish along with other ingredients in the pan to serving plate.
5. Heat the sour cream on a high flame till it thickens, add salt and pepper to taste. Pour this on the fish and serve hot.
