Cashew shortbread recipe details
Ingredients
220 g | flour, all-purpose |
50 g | cashews, finely ground |
220 g | vegetable shortening |
230 g | sugar, light brown |
Instructions
Mix flour and cashews.Cream the shortening and sugar in a large bowl, add flour-nut mix by the spoonful.
Preheat oven to 175°.
With a teaspoon take small amounts of dough and form into small balls by hand. Place on a parchment covered baking sheet leaving 2-3cm space between them. With a floured fork (place fork in some flour in between each cookie) flatten the cookie; and stamp the cookie with the fork to make little ridges as the design.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly colored. Cool on wire rack.
