Brussels sprouts in mustard sauce recipe details
Ingredients
300 g | brussel sprouts |
240 ml | vegetable broth |
1 tsp | Dijon mustard |
½ tsp | canola oil |
1 tbsp | cornstarch |
2 | green onions, finely chopped |
120 ml | evaporated milk |
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste |
Instructions
Cook the brussels sprouts in 120 ml vegetable broth. Then cover and set aside.Spray a small skillet with vegetable cooking spray and add the oil. Sauté the onion in the oil then remove from the heat and slowly add the remaining 120 ml vegetable broth. Add the mustard and season with salt and pepper.
Dissolve the cornstarch in the milk and then add to the skillet mixture. Stirring constantly, cook until the sauce is smooth and thickened, about 5 minutes. Pour the mustard sauce over the cooked brussels sprouts and serve.
