British shortbread recipe details
Ingredients
125 g | butter, soft |
40 g | sugar |
25 g | powdered sugar |
225 g | flour |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
1 tbsp | rose water |
sugar, to sprinkle |
Instructions
Mix butter with sugar until soft and creamy. Add the rest of the ingredients.Knead to a dough and put it in a round 22cm baking form. Puncture the dough with a fork and pre-slice eight pieces with a knife.
Bake at about 160° (oven preheated) for 30 minutes and immediately sprinkle with sugar and cut the pre-cut slices completely. Let cool completely.
