Bread Pudding and Whiskey Sauce recipe

- Ingredients for Bread Pudding:
- 1 loaf Texas toast
- 2 cups milk
- 1-1/4 cup heavy cream
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- Ingredients for Whiskey Sauce
- 1 cup butter
- 4 Tablespoons water
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 Tablespoons whiskey
Bread Pudding: Cube the loaf of Texas toast, set aside. Beat the eggs. Add the milk and cream. Add sugar and cinnamon. Put cubed bread in liquid mixture. Spray or grease a 9×12 inch pan. Put mixture in pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, uncovered.
Whiskey Sauce: Melt butter in saucepan. Cool 10 minutes. Mix the water with the eggs and add to the butter. Add the sugar. Cook until the mixture begins to boil. Remove from heat and add the whiskey. Serve warm over warn bread pudding.
