Another variation of the classic American pickled egg.
Ready in: 3 days 1 hour 20 mins

Ingredients

Serves: 36
  • 36 Hard boiled, shelled eggs
  • 3 Cups water
  • 3 Cups white distilled vinegar
  • 1 Large yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp fresh minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp pickling salt

Preparation method

Prep: 1 hour | Cook: 20 mins | Extra time: 3 days, marinating

1. Hard boil eggs, and remove shells.
2. Place remaining ingredients in a large pot, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
3. Layer hard boiled eggs and onions in a one gallon glass jar. Pour remaining liquid from large pot over the layered items listed above.
4. Place a lid on the jar, and refrigerate for at least 3 days before trying.
