Bramley apple sauce recipe details
Ingredients
450 g | Bramley cooking apples, peeled, cored and quartered |
1 tbsp | water |
1 tsp | lemon juice |
1 pinch(es) | freshly grated lemon peel |
1 tbsp | sherry vinegar |
40 g | sugar |
25 g | butter |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine the apples with water, lemon juice, lemon peel, sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for approximately 10 minutes or until the apples are soft and mushy.Whisk in the butter and leave to cool down.
