Bramble compote recipe details
Ingredients
1 kg | brambles |
6 tbsp | sugar |
2 | cloves |
1 stick(s) | cinnamon |
2 slice(s) | lemon |
Instructions
Pass the small brambles through a sieve and reserve the juice.In a saucepan, combine the bramble juice, sugar, cloves, cinnamon and the lemon slices. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and add the remaining brambles. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove the brambles and transfer them into serving bowls. Reheat the remaining juice again and simmer until thickened. Remove the cloves, cinnamon and lemon.
Pour the sauce over the brambles and allow to cool, before serving.
