Ingredients

1  carrot, sliced
1  onion, sliced
4  rashers bacon
15 g butter
1 tsp curry powder
30 g plain flour
500 ml milk
150 ml chicken or vegetable stock

Instructions

Put the butter in a frying pan and gently sauté the carrot, onion and bacon for about 10 minutes or until softened.

Stir in the curry powder and flour and cook for 2 minutes.

Gradually add the milk and stock stirring continuously until the soup thickens, bring to a boil and keep stirring until smooth.

Serve with bread.
