Bill's incredible baked apples recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1 Apple (Macintosh preferable)
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons “real” Maple Syrup
- chopped walnuts
- raisins
Core apple. Peel around center of apple, leave skin on upper and lower edges. Roll apple in mixture of flour, sugar, and cinnamon. Set in bowl and add: scattering of chopped walnuts, few raisins, and maple syrup.
Bake 2 to 2-1/2 minutes in microwave. Serve with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
We partially cook in microwave for 1-1/2 minutes and set aside. When guests come to breakfast table we pop in microwave for additional 30-60 seconds to heat up. What a way to start the day!
