Beef tenderloin pizzaiola recipe details
Ingredients
4 | beef tenderloin steaks, thick cut |
salt and pepper | |
250 g | tomatoes, peeled and diced |
1 | onion, chopped |
3 clove(s) | garlic, mashed |
1 tsp | oregano |
1 tsp | capers |
2 tbsp | butter |
Instructions
Season the tenderloins from both sides with salt and pepper. In a pan, heat the butter. Fry the tenderloins from both sides for 2 minutes. Remove from the pan, set aside and keep warm.Add in the pan the onion and garlic and sauteé until lucent. Add thomatoes, oregano and capers. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Return the beef tenderloins and turn them in the sauce, take the pan from the heat and let the meat steep for 3 minutes, then serve on preheated plates.
