Basil tomato sauce recipe details
Ingredients
300 g | tomatoes, halved |
60 ml | olive oil |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
2 tbsp | fresh basil, chopped |
200 ml | dry white wine |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C.Place tomatoes in a baking dish. Sprinkle with oil, salt and pepper, garlic, and basil. Cover and bake for 2 hours.
Remove from the oven and process in a blender until smooth. Pour into a saucepan and add white wine. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.
