Baked rhubarb and bananas recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | rhubarb, trimmed and cut into 2cm pieces |
2 | bananas, peeled and sliced |
1 tbsp | sugar |
2 | eggs, separated |
powdered sugar | |
2 tbsp | flour, heaped |
1 tbsp | cornstarch, heaped |
2 tsp | baking powder |
Instructions
In a bowl, combine rhubarb and bananas and sprinkle the fruits with sugar.Whisk the egg whites with two heaped tablespoons of powdered sugar until stiff. Fold in the egg yolks. Sieve flour, starch and baking powder and fold in.
Pour the batter into a greased baking tin. Add the fruits and bake at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
