Baked apples in pastry recipe details
Ingredients
230 g | shortcrust pastry |
4 medium | cooking apples, peeled, cored and left whole |
30 g | brown sugar |
30 g | butter |
¼ tsp | cinnamon, ground |
some | milk |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 220°C.Roll out the pastry on a floured surface. Cut four equal circles and place one apple in the centre of each piece of pastry.
Mix together the sugar, butter and cinnamon and place equal amonuts in the centre of each apple.
Enclose the apples completely in pastry and place onto a tray covered with parchment baking paper.
Brush the top of the pastry with a bit of milk and bake for 25 minutes.
Serving suggestion:Serve hot or cold with lots of custard.
