Baked apple dumplings recipe details
- Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 4 medium thin-sliced Granny Smith apples
- 12 individual canned biscuits
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 2 cups 7-Upsoda or orange juice
Sprinkle sugar over sliced apples. Roll out biscuits, place apple sliced on biscuits and pinch dough up around the apples. Lay dumplings in buttered or sprayed casserole dish. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and soda or juice in saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. Pour mixture over dumplings and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm, sprinkled lightly with powdered sugar.
