Ingredients
8 | rashers streaky bacon |
230 g | self-raising flour |
25 g | butter |
75 g | Cheddar cheese, grated |
150 ml | milk |
20 g | Worcestershire sauce to glaze |
1 pinch(es) | of salt |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 200°C.At first only grill three rashers of bacon until crisp and then cut into small pieces.
Sieve together the flour and salt into a bowl and then rub in the butter. Add 15 g of the cheese and all of the crumbled bacon.
Mix the milk and Worcestershire sauce together and add to dry ingredients.
Mix to a soft dough and roll out to an 18 cm circle .Brush with milk and cut into eight wedges.
Arrange on a buttered and floured baking tray in a circle with overlapping edges. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Bake in the oven at 200°C for 30 minutes.
Finally cut the remaining bacon in half and roll up. Place rolls on skewer and grill till crisp. Use as garnish.
