Au gratin turnip and onion recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | turnips, peeled and grated |
1 medium | onion, chopped |
6 tbsp | Parmesan cheese, freshly grated |
2 tsp | cornflour |
150 ml | double cream |
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste | |
butter |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 190°C.In a medium bowl, mix together turnips, onion, cornflour and 4 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese and season the mixture with salt and pepper.
Pour into a buttered casserole, cover evenly with double cream and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes, until the top is golden. Serve warm.
