Ingredients

250 g turnips, peeled and grated
1 medium onion, chopped
6 tbsp Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
2 tsp cornflour
150 ml double cream
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
butter

Instructions

Preheat oven to 190°C.

In a medium bowl, mix together turnips, onion, cornflour and 4 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese and season the mixture with salt and pepper.

Pour into a buttered casserole, cover evenly with double cream and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 30 minutes, until the top is golden. Serve warm.
