Au gratin gnocchi recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | cooked ham, diced |
300 g | mushrooms, sliced |
250 g | cherry tomatoes, halved |
1 | onion, chopped |
3 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
3 tbsp | oil |
3 tbsp | tomato puree |
1 tbsp | flour |
400 ml | single cream |
1 kg | gnocchi |
salt and pepper | |
200 g | mozzarella cheese, sliced |
300 g | grated cheese (Cheddar or Gouda) |
1 tbsp | parsley, chopped |
1 tbsp | basil, chopped |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C.In a saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil. Add the tomatoes and sauté over medium heat for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil. Stir in the garlic and the onion. Fry over medium heat until lucent. Add the ham and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the tomato purée and cook for 3-4 more minutes. Add the flour and cook stirring constantly for another minute. Add the single cream, parsley and basil. Season with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for 5 more minutes. Stir in the cherry tomatoes.
Cook the gnocchi in salted water until done. Drain and place into a buttered casserole. Pour over the sauce, cover with the Mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Bake for 20-30 minutes.
