Ingredients

500 g chicken breast, sliced
4 tbsp teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp ginger, grated
2 medium red bell pepper, diced
2 medium courgette, diced
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1 large onion, chopped
1 tsp red curry paste
600 ml vegetable stock
1 tbsp Chinese five-spice powder
some salt and pepper
1 tbsp corn starch
1 tbsp water
3 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

Mix together the teriyaki sauce, ginger and 1 tsp of the five-spice powder. Add the chicken and marinate for 2 hours.

In a wok, heat the oil and stir-fry the chicken until golden brown. Remove from the wok and set aside. Stir in the vegetables and the curry paste and sauté for 4 minutes. Pour in the stock and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and season to taste with soy sauce and five-spice powder. Return the chicken. Mix together the water and the corn starch and stir in. Bring to a short boil again.

Serve with rice.
