Apple topping details
- Ingredients
- 2 large apples
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 teaspoon orange zest
- Brandy to taste
Peel, core, and slice apples. Place in saucepan with orange juice, cinnamon, sugar, and zest. Bring to a boil, turn down heat, and simmer until apples are tender. If more liquid is needed, add some water. You can leave apples chunky or process in a blender. Return to pan and add brandy. When ready to serve on pancakes, re-heat and top with apple sauce and whipped cream.
